Happy Black History 2024!
Hi People!
This is our SIXTH year sharing our Little Livingstone Black History Card!
You may or may not have gotten it in February, but that's okay, because we celebrate Black History Month ALL YEAR LONG! (Life be lifing, folks!)
Drop us a line and let us know how you're doing.
Alistair is now 6 and in first grade. He still loves animals, but he also loves Pokemon, YouTube (facepalm), Roblox, fossil hunting, and annoying Daphne. He is a natural gymnast and occasionally puts on acro shows for us, typically to the soundtrack of Believer by Imagine Dragons. He hopes to find a Megalodon tooth fossil this year.
Daphne is 9 and in 4th grade. She loves drawing on Procreate, reading, correcting us, Googling celebrity birthdays, telling Alistair how adorable he is, 'hangouts' with her girls... and mixing 'skincare' in the bathroom. Daphne is now 2, maybe 3 inches shorter than Alliah.
LeVaur is a grown man with 3-4 jobs (#Jamaicans). He started a new job at the beginning of the year, and is also a new owner of a branch of a pavement maintenance franchise called Everline (if you need pothole filling, line striping, seal coating, the plan is for to be up and running sometime this spring). He also played project manager for our major house renovation - we just moved back in!
Alliah is a year older than she was last year, and grateful for it. The highlight of last year was seeing, hugging, and laughing with so many of you as she bounced around the east coast celebrating Big Tune! She released her third book, Oprah Winfrey: A Little Golden Book Biography in November, and she winks at it every time she makes a Target run - because it's in there! She's now gearing up for The Juneteenth Cookbook, a collaboration with Chef Taffy Elrod and illustrator Sawyer Cloud coming out in April, and Great Idea Malia a picture book coming out this September.
God is Good!!!
If you're ever in the Montclair area, hit us up, but we'd love to know how you're doing.
