Did You Know?

We all know Beyoncé has received more Grammys than any artist in history, but did you know she was painfully shy when she was a little girl? She came alive when she was on-stage, and her dance teacher recognized her vocal talent. 

Her latest LP, Renaissance, is devoid of the typical dazzling videos that accompany her releases, but has inspired countless fan-generated videos of the Cuff It challenge and more. The infectious tracks are a tribute to the Black house and disco scene, but they are also powerful acknowledgements to themes of Feminism, Black Queer ballroom culture, and Black identity and liberation. But more importantly, did you know she and Daphne are both Virgos? Daphne insisted on being Beyonce this year. We did get a wig and let her wear some lippie.
